Windows 7 has another problem. Want to purchase a version of Windows 7 (Upgrade or Full retail), all I can say is good luck on finding a copy and if you do find a legitimate copy for sale get ready to pay a small fortune due to the scarcity of the product, may cost you more than the cost of the hardware you purchased. Most of what is still available are OEM System Builder versions (which cost less) but are intended for computers that are to be sold and not for personal use.
Currently all motherboards including the X97 chipset have Windows 7 drivers available.
PC vendors like Dell and HP can still sell computers with Windows 7 pre-installed until at least October 31st, 2014 for all versions and longer for Windows 7 Professional.
