One year from to Microsoft ends all support for Windows XP. Thats "all and any" support for an operating system that still has a 38% market share. Geez, if I had a product, any product that had a 38% market share more than 5 years after its successor was launched (Vista in this case) I’d be thinking about a Windows XP Second Edition complete with total application and data migration support. Sure would generate a whole lot of sales!
As far as activating Windows XP after April of next year, I’ve asked Microsoft (no response as of yet) and searched the web, so far there is nothing in clear print as to when or how long the XP activation servers will remain functional.
