Firefox - A fox with its tail on fire May 15th, 2014 Revised October 31st, 2015
It is now October 31st of 2015 and Firefox is now at version 41.0.2 Keeping Firefox safe to use is good, but too frequent updates make it a nightmare for AV Softare vendors to keep their software up to date so it is compatible.
From January 0f 2012 till February 26, 2014 Firefox Browser versions have gone from version 10.0 to 27.01 and more to come as by March 18th the next version is scheduled to be released.
I started getting prompts to install version 27 early in February of 2014 but held off for a short period of time and you will read why in the next paragraph. Finally after creating an Image Backup I decided to install version 27, guess what I got was version 27.01, geez guys stop it with the frequent updates; let us have a little stability here.
Currently as of May 15th, 2014 Firefox is at revision 29.0.1 and again after a short period of time Version 30 will be available.
All these updates may seem to be well and good to some users but the underlying problem is that with every new release the Anti-Virus software vendors need to test and make any changes necessary so there product is compatible and provides the protect you need and expect.
